Here are a few books that I like and one web site you might find helpful.

The RCP book is a must read - I wish I had it when I started creating RCP
applications:

Eclipse Rich Client Platform: Designing Coding And Packaging Java(tm)
Applications
Author: Jeff Mcaffer
ISBN: 0321334612 · Published By: Addison-Wesley Professional
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/item/books-978032133461/ 0321334612/Eclipse+Rich+Client+Platform+Designing+Coding+And +Packaging+

This book has the best JFace coverage I have found:
The Definitive Guide to SWT and Jface
Author: Harris
ISBN: 1590593251 · Published By: Apress
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/item/books-978159059325/ 1590593251/The+Definitive+Guide+to+SWT+and+Jface

And if you want to know about SWT then get this one (I hope he does a
volume 2):
SWT: The Standard Widget Toolkit Volume 1
Author: Steve Northover
ISBN: 0321256638 · Published By: Pearson Education Canada
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/item/books-978032125663/ 0321256638/SWT+The+Standard+Widget+Toolkit+Volume+1

As far as web sites there is lots of stuff on the eclipse web site but the
thing I miss for JFace is the equivalent of the SWT snippetes. The
closest I have found is this:
