ISelectionListener and an Action [message #449059]

Hi,
I have a Tree object inside the EditorPart. My EditorPart implements
ISelectionProvider and a View implementing the ISelectionListener. When
the user right-clicks on an TreeItem and selects a menuitem in the popup
menu I want a ViewPart to listen for selections in the popup menu, not the
EditorPart. Is this possible?
Any help or suggestions much appriciated...
