Is it possible to export an RCP app to several Platforms from a Windows
Eclipse IDE?

Yes, but you'll need the Eclipse RCP delta pack and maybe you must do
some small things on your own. Maybe you should take a look at the
RCP export wizard (Product export), where you can specify details for
different platforms. There are also some hints about how to export
products on various platforms.

Thanks!

I am thinking of putting the application onto a server including jre.
Todays networks should be able to do allow reasonable times.

Would it be possible to habe ONE directory with both linux and windows
version in it? xxx.exe and xxx. should work, the jar might be the same
but maybe the swt stuff will collide?

Did anyone do that already?

No, there's no problem in having multiple plugins for different OSs in your repo. It selects which one is applicable for the OS at hand.

The basebuilder plugin already does this for testing multiple OSs by having SWT for Linux and Windows co-deployed (but not Mac, sadly).

Could someone supply an example how and where to specify multiple target
platforms? In 3.2M4 I do not find an appropriate option...

The instructions are in the RCP Delta pack, as posted earlier on the subject.
