Hi,

Is the only way to model a bidirectional association using two
counterdirectional references and set the opposite feature?

I think that's the case, yes. If you make the two separate connection
lines coincide, it almost looks right graphically. During the next
release cycle, we're hoping to be able to help make this sample editor
nicer so that we can start using it directly in EMF (and stop using Rose).
