I'm sure this just shows my ignorance, but how do you associate .java
files with eclipse in Windows so that when you double-click on the file,
it comes up in eclipse? I did the obvious and associated it with
eclipse.exe, but that just executes a new instance of eclipse and
doesn't open the file besides. I of course want it to come up in my
already running instance.

Also, I have a shortcut defined for eclipse that sets my jvm and -data,
etc. I tried to associate it with that, but it said that wasn't a
Windows program.

Thanks for any pointers,
Mark

Currently this is not supported. Not sure if it's part of the 3.0 plan,
didn't see it when I skimmed it just now. I've seen enhancement PRs for it
in the past. The basic problem is that there would be no project associated
with the file that you're opening in Eclipse.
