How to invoke the validate(...) programatically instead of running
'validate' action in the EMF Editor menu ?

Kaniska,

Diagnostician.INSTANCE.validate should do the trick. You can look at
ValidationAction.java to see how it specializes the Diagnostician to
control how labels are rendered.
