does DLTK support non-zip archive [message #38578]

there is a project based on DLTK,i have several archive types.i have
already made it to support zip based archive.but now i want to support
other non-zip archive,for example tar archive and some other archive.

and if DLTK supports that ,please let me know how to do that,any hint is
helpful.thanks in advance:)
