Hey all,

I love the Eclipse environ for my C code on Linux. I am just looking for
the way to turn on Line Numbers. I have to keep nedit up with a correlation
for the line numbers that errors (yes we all make them from time to time)
occur on. Even with this small inconvenience, this is a great system for
me.

I look foward to banging on it once I get my client work done.

The best way to find the line number you are looking for is to hit

"Ctrl-L", this will let you type in the line number you want to goto.

Hey!!!

I got sucked into eclipse today:
- took me a couple of hours to get it all running under win2k with cygwin
(for gcc compiler): I just like it very much!

However I am still looking for the linenumbers too... Thanks James for
"CTRL L", but I think the C/C++ editor is simply missing this nice feature
(i.e.: indicating the line/col number at the bottom of the IDE window).

Anybody has any news about current development/fixes concerning this
matter?

Cheers

Fred

Actually, line numbers were added to the CDT source last week. We're hoping
to get
a new build up this week for download, which will have line numbers (it was
done
like the Java editor, which you can check out). We've also fixed up the
linenumber
reporting at the bottom of the status bar.
