Good day,
I am having a report that consists of different sections, each using its
own data set. I would like to have a TOC that contains one entry for each
section, which I am unable to achieve. Besides many online hints, I have
consulted
'BIRT - A Field Guide to Reporting'. This mentions TOCs only in connection
with grouping. So it seems that I can only have a TOC if my report
consists of one large table in which case the TOC contains pointers
towards the groups in the table.
Since this seems very restrictive and many posts I've read suggest that
there is some other kind of TOCs, I am obviously missing something
essential here. Can somebody please point me into the right direction.
Thanks & regards,
Juliane.

Hi Jason,
thank you very much. With your report and the plain BIRT viewer TOCs work
very well. Now, knowing how it is supposed to work, I'll hopefully be able
to find out what is wrong with my pair of report and customized viewer.
Have a nice day,
Juliane.
