Cross Tabs with empty columns/rows ? (please!) [message #362661] Tue, 20 May 2008 14:29 Go to next message

Hi,

is it possible to have a cross table with rows or columns that have no
result values?
In my case only "valued" rows or columns are visible.
That means when at least one cell in a row or column has a value, the
row or column is visible.

Want I want, is to see all possible columns/rows even when there is no
result value in any cell of the column or row.

The column/row names would be retrieved from two different data sets.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Thank you,
Thilo

Please use the new feature Show empty rows and columns in BIRT2.3.0. The
option is in Property Editor. Select your crosstab and specify which row
and column you want to show the empty rows/columns

Because BIRT 2.3.0 is not released yet it is not an option for me.
I think I have to use a table with "known" columns instead of cross tabs.

Does the new feature "Show empty rows and columns" in BIRT 2.3.0 mean
that I can take the column definitions from an "other" dateset?

Thank you,
Thilo
