Hi,
I am using eclipse 2.1 under win2000. I am debugging my apps with
J2SDK1.4.1. I was able to use HotSwap instantly out of the box. I haven't
used it in a couple of weeks and now I notice it isn't working. I get no
error dialogs when changing/saving/building changes during a debug session.
I have all the flags turned on.
I even tried debugging under jdk1.3.1 because I knew I would get a HotSwap
not supported dialog, but I did not.
I can find no settings that would effect this.
Can anyone give my any clues ? My next move is to reinstall from
scratch....arg ^%(*%^(&.
Thanks In Advance,
Jim

Hi,
A quick update. I reinstalled eclipse 2.1 but left all my .metadata intact.
When I restarted eclipse, I noticed that HotSwap was working only when I
explicitly did a Build All after making a change. I found that the
WorkSpace setting for "Build All After Resource Modification" was not set.
Once I set that flag, HotSwap is on again.... Thank God. I am not sure I
could live without it again.....
