I happen to be one of those ppl messing with the AJDT CVS repository.
So I just wanted to confirm the uninstallation procedure to remove the
almost final version of AJDT 1.1.7. Basically deleting the following
directories should be sufficient right?

org.aspectj.ajde_1.1.7
org.eclipse.ajdt.examples_0.6.7
org.eclipse.ajdt.ui_0.6.7
org.eclipse.aspectj_1.1.7

FWIW, maybe a hint for future early-birds accessing "pre-official" =
versions: I had put (i.e. unpacked/unjar-ed) the mentioned code into a =
separate directory=20

C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj

i.e. features into:
    C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj\eclipse\features
resulting in a directory:
    =
 C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj\eclipse\features\org.eclipse.aspe ctj_1.1.7=20

and the plugins into:
    C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj\eclipse\plugins
resulting in directories:
     C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj\eclipse\plugins\org.aspectj.ajde_ 1.1.7
    =
 C:\eclipse_plugins\aspectj\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.ajdt. examples_0.6.=
7
    etc.

and then just placed a "link-file" to it, i.e. a file called =
"aspecj.link" (the extension .link is important!) containing just the =
line
----------------------
path=3DC:/eclipse_plugins/aspectj
----------------------
into a folder "links" in the eclipse directory.

Thus, later, just removing that link-file from the links-folder and =
restarting the environment is (or at least it seems to be...) the only =
thing necessary to uninstall this version again.

Official versions (i.e. from a feature-update site) I install normally =
using the feature installation mechanism.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi,

Yes - I *think* that is right. Please post a reply to this group if it
works OK for you.

Yes, but don't forget org.eclipse.aspectj_1.1.7 under features. There is
one in plugins and one in features.
