How to enable debug in plugin [message #333494]

Hi,

The plugin that I am working on has Plugin.class that has the
setDebugging(boolean). How can I set it to true when I run Eclipse
Application to test my plugin.

You could simply check
org.eclipse.core.runtime.Platform.inDevelopmentMode() which is active
when you are in development mode.

The other option is to set up your plugin similar to
org.eclipse.ui.internal.misc.Policy ... and use the debug options
pattern used by the eclipse SDK. a .options file that describes your
properties is placed in the base of your plugin and that is used to turn
tracing on or off (and can even be used from the launch config).
