3.4, Cannot launch the Update UI [message #329524]

Hi!

I have built the IDE v.3.4 from sources (Linux/gtk/x86_64), and "Software
updates" shows "Cannot launch the Update UI. This installation
bla-bla-bla...". Is there some public explanation how to start the IDE
to "be able to launch"? I mean an explanation readable by ordinary user
rather the IDE developer. I have googled in thoroughly but have not found
something intelligible from user's POV. I hope such information isn't a
secret, is it? :-)

P.S. I suppose bin distribution has some default config files which can be
useful for me to understand the situation. Unfortunately my net traffic is
very limited :-(

Please, help!

I installed the binary distribution (Linux, 32bit) and got the same
error. I submitted a bug:
