Eclipse User

The Run as button used to work such that if I just clicked on it, it ran
the most recently run java application. It doesn't do this anymore. Now,
to run the most recent application, I have to pull down and select it.

Can anyone tell me what happened to this functionality?

Win XP
Version: 3.3.2

In 3.3 a change was introduced so that it now runs the launch
configuration that makes the most sense for the active editor.

Open the "Run/Debug > Launching" page in the preferences. In the "Launch
Operation" section, you can change the behaviour.

It was intentionally changed in for 3.3. It is described on this "New &
Noteworthy" page:

Look for the section named "Launch selection vs. launch last" near the
bottom.

The good news is, you can revert to the old behavior by toggling a
preferences setting (also described in the above document).
