Pre-selected widgets in AGR [message #31862] Mon, 19 September 2005 11:00 Go to next message

Hello,

I played around with AGR(TPTP-4.1.0-200509090100), and what bothers me a
bit is that while recording default-selected GUI elements (e.g. menu
subitems) have to be manually selected, otherwise the playback will not
work. I'm not sure if you already fixed that in the new development
builds, this is just a little hint on how you could further improve user
friendliness.

Regards,
Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

When I first read your message, I thought that you were referring to the
default-select command that gets generated when the user performs a default
behaviour on a widget (e.g. double clicks on a tree item). But I think what
you're referring below is different:

AGR does fail if for example a context menu item on a particular object is
selected without first selecting the object. (e.g. item1 in a tree needs to
first be selected (left clicked) and then right clicked to select one of its
context menu items).
Am I on the right track about what you've mentioned below here?
If so, feel free to open a defect using

defect against the following component: Test.UI.AutoGUIRunner

Hey Ali,
that is what i meant. My concrete example is: File -> Import -> one of the
possible options is selected by default.
I opened a defect concerning this matter.

Thorsten
