Where to find examples of creating extension points [message #309361]

Eclipse User

I want to create an extension point for my plug-in. Basically
I want other plug-ins to be able to "register" object that
implement an interface in my plug-in. I am stuck since I do
not find an easy example of how this can be done.

Can anyone point me to such an example or even better provide
a simple example directly in the answer.

Thanks a lot. This was exactly the type of simple example
I was looking for. I seem to have been quite lucky also
since he wrote it only a couple of days ago.

Another good resource is the book "Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality
Plug-ins", 2ed., by Eric Clayberg and Dan Rubel, published by Addison
Wesley. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to
write Eclipse plug-ins.
