Programmatically add a site entry to my target platform? [message #307273]

I am trying to add a new site entry to the platform.xml of my
workspace's target platform (I am using Eclipse 3.2).

I have code to create the ISiteEntry, ISitePolicy, etc but I cannot find
an API to get me the path to the platform.xml file of my target platform.

So, question: how can I get a IPlatformConfiguration object representing
my target platform? If I can get the URL to the platform.xml, I can use
the ConfiguratorUtils.getPlatformConfiguration(URL) method to configure
a new ISiteEntry.
