I have been developing my Eclipse plugin for a while using JDK 1.4.2. I
am having problems with Eclipse; it doesn't start. It gets stuck after
loading org.eclipse.ltk.ui.refactoring package. I didn't see anything
relevant in the logs. I did notice that the CPU usage goes to 100% while
it's stuck. I am using a machine with Windows XP Pro, 3.0 GHz processor
and 2GB of RAM. This happened to me once before. At that time, I
installed eclipse and setup all my projects again. I do not want to go
through that again knowing that after a while I'll get stuck again. I
will really appreciate anyone's help in this matter.

Please file a bug report against JDT UI and include a stack dump.
