Embedding a wizard in view [message #287863] Thu, 07 July 2005 11:38 Go to next message

Hi

Has anyone embedded a wizard within a view? We would like NOT have a
wizard pop-up. I figure it is just a manner of implementing the wizard
related interfaces within a ViewPart but maybe someone has done it and
has an example. Any comments, questions or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

Might I ask why you would want to place a wizard in a view? A wizard and
a view are two fundamentaly different things.

To avoid the pop up modal pop up window.

You should consider using a cheat sheet. Cheet sheets appear in their
own view, and can walk the user through several tasks, even initiating
other dialogs as necessary. I don't know if this will work for your
situation, but the cheat sheets are as close to "a wizard in a view" as
you can do easily.
