Cann't find SWT Application in Run... menu [message #286846] Sun, 19 June 2005 23:37 Go to next message

In RC3 build, I cann't find "SWT application" in Run... menu.
In 3.1 build, eclipse runtime can support jar deployment,so I have to
unzip swt-xxx.dll file from swt plugin jar to run my swt base applications.

Even if we had the hypothetical Import option, this change seems not to
be a usability win. Getting an SWT application to run has changed from
an obvious, in-your-face choice to a long incantation, and in the future
maybe an import option disconnected from the act of running an
application. :(

How to disable "New Editor" in my editor's scope? [message #286870 is a reply to message #286863] Mon, 20 June 2005 16:04 Go to previous messageGo to next message

What's the most elegant way to disable the "New Editor" action in the
scope of my editor?

I see this action in two places: on the "Window" top pull-down menu,
and on the context menu of the editor tab.

And all the launch configurations that I've setup are gone as well -
about two dozens of them ... :-(

The New Editor action is always enabled. If you have a scenario where
it needs to be disabled, please open an enhancement request against
Platform UI in Bugzilla:
