how to turn off cvs project recognition [message #283578] Wed, 06 April 2005 06:02 Go to next message

I have been having a problem where several java projects are being worked
on inside eclipse and with other developers using wincvs. Eclipse seems to
be getting confused with the external changes, which is fair.

these are just normal java projects, how do i stop eclipse knowing about
these being from cvsnt? can i turn off the cvsnt functionality and use
wincvs.

I didn't tell eclipse to make these cvs projects but when i imported the
prjects it automatically enabled the cvs stuff.

thanks,

Stu

Hi,

Try Team->Disconnect from the project's context menu.

Stuart,

You can disconnect the projects from CVS using the Team>Disconnect
operation.

thanks for your help. That does work *until* i add in more files, eclipse
then reconnects the projects back to cvs. ie the project starts being a
live cvs project with project name (cvs server name)

any ideas how to stop this, it really stuffs up our cvsnt repo when this
happens.

This is a bug. Please log a bug report against Platform CVS for this.
