Hi,

I want to write a program using EJB 3.0 but it seems like Eclipse
doesn't support it already. It has problems with the annotations and
that classes inherit from an interface. Is this correct or am I just
missing something?

Thanks for any help!

Bye
Dani

Eclipse 3.0 does not yet support any of the Java 5 features, including
annotations. Furthermore, Eclipse 3.0 does not support EJB out of the box.

Using Eclipse 3.1M5 (will be available next Friday) for development of
EJB 3.0 programs might work.

If you're about to develop a J2EE application you can try the upcoming
release of the Eclipse Webtools (available at
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/index.html).

With upcoming release of Webtools I mean M3 that should be available on
25 February:
Improved XML, JSP and EJB Tools. Database Tools and Initial Web
Services. Will be based on 3.1M5.

HTH,
Christian

Hi Dani,

The EJB 3.0 specifications have not been finalized yet, as noted here:

http://java.sun.com/products/ejb/docs.html
(it's still in the 'early draft' phase)

So it will be awhile before tooling exists for creating 3.0 beans.
