Own Plug-in not recognized [message #271357]

Hi,

I have developed an own plug-in with a view, I also created a feature
plug-in and a update site. When I run this plug-in from the "Eclipse for
RCP/Plug-in Developers" version it works. But now comes my problem when I
install it in a "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers" it is listed in
"Installed Software" but it is not listed in "Feature Details" or "Plug-in
Details" but the Help and an other depended and delivered plug-in are
listed in "Plug-in Details". All parts can be found in the plug-in folder.
I also tested it in the versions 3.5 RC2 and RC3 and there it is all fine
and working only 3.4.2 makes trouble but I have to get it running in this
version.

I hope it is not that much confusing and someone can help me.

Felix,

I would start by running eclipse with -clean -debug and looking at the
Error Log for clues. The -debug flag helps produce more detailed
diagnostics why some bundles might not be activated.

Thanks alot. Through this I figured out that a manifest from a required
plug-in was broken. I wasn't seeing the wood for the trees.
