how to change background color in compare editor? [message #265497] Tue, 14 October 2008 09:17 Go to next message

Hi all,

I've changed my preference settings in Eclipse to use white text on dark
background in all editors.

The problem is, the compare editor always uses white for the background
color, except for Java files, which correctly uses the background color
that the Text Editors preference page is set to.

This is very annoying, because when I'm comparing .properties files, for
example, I can't see the text, since it appears white text on white
background.

Is this a bug, or is there some way to change the background color of text
compare editors for non-Java files?

I tested this in Eclipse 3.1.0 and 3.3.

Many thanks,
Angela

Hi,

I downloaded Eclipse 3.5 M2 (Ganymede) and this was not fixed. Is there a
newer version?

Thanks,
Angela

Yes, there are daily N-builds and there are weekly integration (I-)builds.
