Hi,
Our institute uses Eclipse running on Linux for development. We just
have one installation on the Linux server and every developer uses it.
Last year, when Eclipse version 3.3 was released and was installed in
our Linux server. I have noticed that Eclipse 3.3 is slower in
responding to mouse clicks. All my colleges have the same observation.
Since I don't know what new advantages version 3.3 has over v 3.2,
without telling anybody, I have keep using v 3.2.
Another problem for v 3.3 is, from my home computer, I can open Eclipse
v 3.2 from the company Linux server, not v 3.3. I use cable for internet
access, but is a very cheap program, so the internet speed is not that
great. v 3.3 seems a much, much big program than v 3.2.
In the company, we access Eclipse through Cgwin from our individual PC.
I guess the slowness in the company correlates with the problem when I
access it from the home.

Eclipse running over the network is always slow.
A better usage model is to install it locally, with a local workspace
and project(s) whose files are also local (but shared via a common VCS
system like CVS or SVN).
You might also want to try Eclipse 3.4, as it includes lots of new
features and enhancements over 3.3 and 3.2.

That is true for v 3.3 and v 3.4, not true for v 3.2.

After writing my post, I just noticed our company has already installed
v 3.4. I am using it right now. Anyway, I feel v 3.2 is relatively
leaner than v 3.3 and 3.4. We don't need many, many fancy stuffs
included in v3.3 or 3.4.
Anyway, thank you for providing this free and great software, if you are
one of those Eclipse developers.
