Parameter Localization [message #262288] Wed, 28 November 2007 18:53
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

With the "__locale=fr-FR" in the frameset URL, I get the report with the
correct content (all the labels are localized correctly).
But, the parameters in the input dialog are still in English.
That is somehow it's using english locale and not the specified locale.

eg. One of my parameters is "StartDate", it got translated to "Start Date"
(note: with the space)
and not "Commencez Date" that I specified in my fr-Fr properties file.

The URL that I used is
/frameset?__report=myreport.rptdesign&__locale=fr-FR

I set up the parameter localization like I set up the label localization in
the report content.
For each of the parameter, I put the key=value pair in the respective
properties file
and set the "Text key" in the "Localization" tab in "Properties".

But, somehow this works for the report content but not the user input
dialog.

I'm using BIRT 2.2.1.

Maria.
