0 references in workspace (no JRE) [message #259979] Mon, 04 May 2009 18:15 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I've recently upgraded to Version 3.4.2 Build M20090211-1700 for the Mac.

Strangely when I right click on a class attribute and right click
references->workspace it gives me no references, and in the header of the
Search window gives me "0 references in workspace (no JRE) (0 matches
filtered from view).

But the JRE is installed and selected. The project is compiling and I can
export .jar files and the like, and if I make the attribute private it
does find all the references to the attribute and gives me compile errors.

I don't know what is going on. The only thing strange I've done lately is
I've set my path variables to point to a 1.5 Java (since eclipse for the
Mac needs 1.5) but I'm compiling for 1.6. Could this error be related to
that?

I did find one reference to this error using google,
http://forums.prophecy.co.za/f64/eclipse-jre-error-34654/ , but none in
the bug library. Should I submit a bug report, or try something else
first?

Never mind. I deleted the project and re-imported it, and now it works.
I don't know why I didn't think of that before posting.
