Hello Everyone,

I am having a plugin project, i want to obfuscate the plugins is there any
facility in eclipse or are there any third party tools to do obfuscation
of eclipse plugins.

Please help me regarding this.

So it is actually quite common to write an obfuscated plug-in?

is there a real need for such protection? Wouldnt it better if the codes
are out in the wild benefitting as many people as possible?

dollars on designing something innovative might not be happy to see
someone else reverse engineer it and start selling it thereby cutting
into the profit. So I don't know how common that is, but the need is
very real. The question of benefit to the code being out in the wild
needs to consider who is benefiting: the original author or everyone
else? Despite appearances at Eclipse, software development isn't always
