Encoding problem with JIRA Connector [message #25266] |

Hello,
I've just installed Mylyn 2.0.0 (with JIRA Connector) for my Eclipse
3.3.0. I've added our JIRA Repository using ISO-8859-1 as encoding.
Everything works as expected when querying and viewing the JIRA Tasks.
But when I update a task which contains non-ascii characters, those
characters are converted to garbage characters (e.g. ü -> ü), as if the
text was converted to utf-8 before committing the changes.
What could be the problem? I thought that if a repository task is read
with the correct encoding, the write operation should use the same encoding.
best regards,
Mads

Can you please create an issue in the Mylyn's bugzilla and specify
what kind of update you are doing, info about your local platform
encoding (you can attach configuration from Help / About Eclipse SDK /
Configuration Details), as well as platform encoding and encoding and
language setting on your JIRA server.
Thanks
Eugene
