Hello,
After having a very fulfilling relationship with Intellij IDEA, i have
been "forced" to switch to Eclipse. So i downloaded the IDE for Java EE,
and created a project with our source and libraries etc, and also set up
the default JBoss server.
i have a feeling there's a lot that's not set up, because when i try to
run the JBoss Server, i get a
"Could not publish to server.
java.lang.NullPointerException".

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nilesh

There is a recent comment about this topic on the eclipse.webtools
newsgroup. Apparently there are patches that you need to apply to make
this problem go away. Look for the thread titled "NullPointerException
when publishing WAR files to JBoss since 2.0.2"

For completeness, I recorded a demo using JBoss 4.2 that might help:

It's been a while since I looked at this, but I recall having problems
getting JBoss to run on anything but a Java 1.5 JRE.

Good luck,

Wayne
