Hi,

I designed a grid with a lot of columns. The Labels I need to put as
column headers are all long words which means I won't be able to create a
decent layout. Is there any possibility to rotate text by 90 degrees? I
did not find any solution, but I hope there is someone out there to help
me solve this (everyday) problem.

Well, I found org.eclipse.birt.sample.reportitem.rotatedtext.jar, but I
cannot use it. I moved it to the plugins folder and startet eclipse
-clean, but it doesn't show up. Any ideas?

Christian,

There is a similar, but working example
org.eclipse.birt.sample.reportitem.rotatedlabel in Integrating and
extending BIRT book. The book has a detailed explanation how to create the
plugin and how to rotate the text. It comes with the source code as well.
The book implementation is with version 2.1. There will be a new edition
of the book published for BIRT 2.2.

Thanks for the Message, I already own the book, but I am having a hard
time programming it by myself, that's why I hoped to find the working
plugin somewhere....
