Thanks Chris! I think you are right about the root cause of the untar
problem.
I tried to untar the file in windows and ftp to unix in binary mode. But
got another error:
# ./eclipse
sh: ./eclipse: Execute permission denied.
Even the permission is 777 and run with root account.
I also tried to follow the comment on eclipse website to run it as
"eclipse -vmargs -Dosgi.locking=none" but also failed.
Anyone got any idea?
