overriding TemplateTranslator - will it continue to work? [message #240526] Tue, 11 May 2004 16:43
Eclipse UserFriend
I'm overriding org.eclipse.jface.text.templates.TemplateTranslator to
allow for a different template expression syntax. (For instance I started
wanting just to use '.' in expressions like ${foo.bar} but now I'm doing
something more elaborate).

I also override ContextType.validate() to insure my TemplateTranslator is
used there.

I've got M8. Will this continue to work in M9 and beyond? I've taken a
peek at the state of CVS and I don't see anything that would hurt me, but
I don't know what the plans are and this API still seems to be still
evolving.

thanks,

Chris
