Hi,
I'm starting a new project this week which involves converting Access
Forms and Reports to web enabled (Java). And the tables and queries from
Access to SQL.
Is BIRT the right way to go. This should be in production in 3 months.
I'm concerned about the Reports, most of them are Simple or grouped
reports, but few of them take parameters. These connect to SQL server for
data.
Please adive. Is BIRT the right way to go. It looks impressively
simple to do. Thats what is tempting me to go with BIRT.
thanks,
Sunny

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the quick response, really appreciate it. I did try simple
reports and works like a charm. Hats off to a great product in the making.
Unfortunately, the team is not so excited and they want to go .NET way as
Access to .NET to quite simple. I'm into Java side and not microsoft, so I
won't be involved in that project. But, BIRT will be my option if
reporting comes my way.
Good Luck,
Sunny
