Convert RelativeBendpoints to absolute points? [message #236393] Fri, 17 July 2009 10:51
Eclipse UserFriend
Folks,
I'm trying to export UML Activity diagrams to an XML file to drive a
custom program. The program will recreate the diagram as identically as
possible, and perform some other value added functions.

I'm able to recreate Action Steps, decision point, notes, etc. exactly.
Flows are problematic, though.

I'm getting all of the edges in the diagram, and getting the properties.
The Bendpoints, however, don't always agree with what is actually
displayed in the diagram. When I looked at the Bendpoints documentation,
it stated that the bendpoints are the "Suggested" layout points.

Is there a way to find the exact layout of a flow? The custom program
(written for Dot Net) can be driven by a bunch of different UML tools, not
just the eclipse environment, so "Just do it inside of eclipse" isn't an
option.

Thanks in advance,
Buddy Robbins.
