Hi MJ,

Eclipse Classic.
The choice of labels is confusing for new-comers.

Yes you can use JDK/JRE 6.
However, be careful if you intend to interface with programs such as
JBoss 4.x. These programs are compiled against JRE 5 and will create
serialization errors that are difficult to find if you use JRE 6.

That depends on what you want to do with the tool. I think the
explanations on that page do a pretty good job of guiding you, but there
are also links to "Find out more..." under each package description.
Usually what a Java programmer wants is the Eclipse IDE for Java
Developers. Even if you eventually want more of the tools, you can
easily use the built-in Update Manager to download and install them.

Yes, Eclipse runs under Java 6 just fine.
