what struck me right off the bat were some transition effects egs.
"Animate", "Dim", "Expand" that it would be nice to have GEF support
for. there are almost certainly other ideas that could/should be
implemented as well.
i haven't yet looked at this in enough detail to come up with specific
suggestions. but i wanted to bring this quickly to the attention of the
broader community so other people can start thinking about these ideas
for potential enhancements as well.
