Can you modify the built in Java editor in Eclipse (2 or 3M) via some sort
of XML file like most other IDEs have for reference to there editors. For
example, adding or changing the exact keywords in "Keywords", or possibly
creating a "Keywords2" and assigning other keywords to it?

Eclipse is a great environment to work in. The only draw back it has is
that its actual Java editor is very little light on syntax options compared
to most others. I know there is a "Slick Edit" plug-in . . . but I am not
really up to paying for $150.00 just to make my code a bit prettier.
