then to envisage to build plugins with mixed code like Java+C# ...

Indeed, Java will die if everybody says "ah, Java might well die soon so
let's switch to .NET". Kind of a vicious circle. Personally I consider
that struggling against MS domination is a citizen duty.
Java migh not be the best language or platform ever, but at least it is
limiting MS's grasp on the IT industry.
