Problem with incremental parallel build [message #211746] Wed, 12 March 2008 07:13 Go to next message

Hi,

I have a question regarding the "use parallel build" checkbox in the
project properties[1].

When I activate the checkbox with "Use optimal jobs number" option
selected, the build process still uses only one core of my machine [2].
When I select "Use parallel Jobs: 2", the build process is much faster
and uses both cores, but then the incremental build doesn't seem to work
anymore.
The build process always builds the whole project.

Why is that? What can I do to get both incremental build and 2 parallel
build jobs?

Regards
Philip

I forgot to mention that I use CDT 4.0.3 and Eclipse 3.3 with MinGW.
