JULI Logging on Apache Tomcat 5.5 from WTP [message #209128] Mon, 25 February 2008 15:59 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I would like to activate the logging for Tomcat 5.5. I did find this FAQ
entry:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/WTP_Tomcat_FAQ#How_do_I_enable_the_J ULI_logging_in_a_Tomcat_5.5_Server_instance.3F

Unfortunately the following sentense does not reveal its secrets to me:

------------Quote----------------
a.. Open the server editor for the Tomcat server and note the folder
specified by the Configuration path field.
----------------------------------

In the server view I can select the properties and here I don't find a
"Configuration path field". Also in the preferences I don't find a field
"Configuration path field".

I also tried to find this info in the editor for the server.xml file which
can be found under "Servers" in your Java EE perspective. But I did not find
"Configuration path" or any other similar entry in this file.

A text search within the project for "configuration path" and "path" also
did not return any useful results.

Any advice?

Best regards, Lars

It appears that when this page was moved to the wiki, all the links that
existed within the page were lost or you would have had your answer.
See the first question in the Information section of the Tomcat FAQ for
how to open the editor. I'll see if I can update the page to fix this
and add 2.0.x info.

Cheers,
Larry
