Use of XML DataSource with http security (JAAS auth-mode = BASIC) [message #207531] Wed, 20 December 2006 03:50 Go to next message

Hello,

I'd like to use data on XML file which is on a server that I can access
with http + basic security (the browser asks for login & password)

I've tried to do a standard XML DataSource, however it directly went to
an error 401 when trying to fetch the data in the URL for the DataSource
box when clicking on 'Test Connection' button.

Do you know if it is possible to do that with a standard XML DataSource
or should I use a Scripted DataSource ?

Regards,
Denis.

I have the same question.
Is there any solution for this problem?

Ralph,

Take a look at this thread. You could write script in the before open
to replace the xml stream at runtime. This script could try to do the
authentication.
