I have recently installed the Eclipse Platform Version 3.0.2

The JDK I have installed is the J2SE version 5 update 3 (JDK1.5_3).

I have discovered that I can only set the compliance of
the Eclipse Platform up to the JDK1.4 and not JDK1.5.

The new language constructs of version 5 are therefore not
available within the Eclipse IDE.

Can somebody please inform me if there is there an update availble or work
around.

Regards

Hi,

This is a faq. Eclipse 3.1 support J2SE 5.0 development.

Afaik the 3.1M7/RC0 build will be available in this weekend. You should give
it a try (or download 3.1M6 if you cannot wait :) ).

HTH,
Regards,
Csaba
