Access restriction error EMF classes in GEF example projects [message #198778]

I start getting wierd errors in the GEF example projects I got from CVS:

Access restriction: The type Notification is not accessible due to
restriction on required library
C:\java\eclipse-3.1\plugins\org.eclipse.emf.common_2.1.0.jar

But I didn't put any restrictions on the EMF plugin. Also if I select Quick
Fix for the error, it takes me to the Java Build Path:Libraries tab in the
the project properties which shows that there are no access rules.

How can I get rid of this error message?

A restart doesn't fix it, but looks like Eclipse 3.1.1 does.
