[Feature Request] Hide Items from the Package Explorer [message #198346]

Hello All,

In my project, the package explorer shows many unwanted nodes which make
it very bulky.

For example my project is looking like
src/common
src/server
JRE System Library [JDK 1.4.2_03]
src/web
commons-beanutils.jar
commons-collections.jar
commons-digester.jar
commons-fileupload.jar
commons-lang.jar
commons-logging.jar
commons-validator.jar
jakarta-oro.jar
jcert.jar
jnet.jar
jsse.jar
ldapjdk.jar
log4j-1.2.8.jar
redirector.jar
security.jar
cic.jar
CommonComponents.jar
dhlsysicutils.jar
ifxjdbc.jar
nacapi.jar
vlh.jar

I want to hide the JRE System and all the jars because I don't need to
see it in my project explorer. They are making reading this tree very
difficult.

I don't want these removed because my project cannot work without
these... I only don't want to see them in my package tree.

Is there some way to hide specific items?

if the simple filtering options are not enough, you should consider
using working sets that allow you to hide any specific file you'd want.
