Eclipse supports? I mention this, because I can already see that three
different places create Eclipse on Mac forums. This seems silly, because
they will never reach as many user as Eclipse.org can. I'd much rather
see eclipse.mac, eclipse.windows, eclipse.linux and etc on the eclipse
newsgroups. I figure that problems such the current Java Mac OS X update
issue would end in the eclipse.mac.

 Just food for thought...

I would like a separate newsgroup for each platform because I _do_ want
to see the posts. It isn't easy to winkle out, e.g., Mac-specific
solutions, from the current newsgroups and, maybe because of the volume
of traffic, the relatively small number of Mac experts in the community
don't find their way every day to all the possible places a Mac-specific
 problem might be reported.

 Please see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=92194 for a
related feature request. I thought that the groups would in the end be
about issues of the Eclipse platform on different HW/SW platforms, so I
proposed the names eclipse.platform.windows, eclipse.platform.mac etc.
