Hello everyone,
I really hope somebody's gonna be able to help me out on this one, i really
would hate to lose a couple of months of work.
Here's the situation, i'm used to work on the same workspace on two
different machines, one of them is the local one which hosts the workspace
and the other is a laptop which accesses the workspace through the network.
Well for several months this has worked fine, but now my workspace seems to
have gone kaboom for some strange reason. Basically my preferences are gone
(all white, no options) and when I try to run a build or a debug I get the
following error:
Exception occured during launch
Reason: Source locator does not exist:
org.eclipse.jdt.debug.ui.javaSourceLocator
anybody here that can save my poor workspace or that at least could tell me
what went wrong?
Thanks a lot in advance

This can happen if you accidentally open the same workspace twice with two
different instances of Eclipse.
The workaround is listed in
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=40947 which is to delete the
..metadata/.registry file under your workspace directory.
