parallel computing [message #1871961] Thu, 17 October 2024 01:41 Go to next message

Hi! I am new to Eclipse and I would like to use it for parallel computing with MPI on a Linux machine. I saw that there was a nice package that one could install called Eclipse for Scientific Computing but it does not seem to be anymore an option with the Installer. Is it still a way to install it? And more relevant, was the latest version stable? If not, is it there any alternative?

I found a lot of material online about the Parallel Tools Platform that the package incorporated but I don't know how to retrieve it and if it is a good idea at all since the project was archived few years ago

It's probably not a good idea to rely on archived projects. The installer by default shows only the latest releases. If you switch to advanced mode (menu button on the upper right) you can install any version of the products including older discontinued products.
