Problem 4diac project copying to other computer. [message #1867677] Wed, 03 July 2024 11:19 Go to next message

I created a project on a computer with Windows 7. Then I copied the project directory to a computer with Windows 10 and opened it there in 4diac. It opened, the functional blocks in the picture are damaged, they look like garbage - inscriptions in one place, rectangles of functional blocks in another. How to fix this, how to transfer projects from one computer to another?

I would expect that this is a problem of your 4diac IDE version that you are using. We had in older versions several issues when native scaling was enabled or when you had screens with different native scaling. If you are using the latest 4diac IDE release 2.0.1 you could test of our RC builds fix the problem: https://download.eclipse.org/4diac/updates/rc/

Thank you. It worked (project converted from old version), the picture is ok, but when loading the project it gives an error and after pressing ok it opens the project normally:
No enum constant org.eclipse.fordiac.ide.ui.imageprovider.FordiacImage.ICON_DEPLOYMENT_CONSOLE

Please only use the projects and not the workspace. Projects are compatible but the workspace is not.

Ah sorry forgot to say that for the latest 4diac IDE you need the freeze branch from our 4diac FORTE github repository: https://github.com/eclipse-4diac/4diac-forte

For this you need to reexport all your FBs. Unfortunately in order to bring you great new features (e.g., great speed improvement, reduced memory consumption) we had to break API compatibility. Please be aware that maybe a few minor API changes may still come till the upcoming 3.0 release.

I downloaded it, but the last changes were 3 years ago and there is no forte_array_common.h file?

As I wrote you need to use the freeze branch of that repository!
